A company rooted in Southern Italy, open to the world
Born in Lecce in 2005 under the artistic direction of Giorgia Maddamma — dancer and choreographer of Italian-German training, graduated from Folkwang Hochschule in Essen with Pina Bausch — Koreoproject has produced over twenty dance shows and multidisciplinary creations, touring in Puglia, in Italy and abroad between Germany, France and Egypt.
The company collaborates regularly with musicians, actors, singers and international institutions, combining technical rigor, choreographic research and social commitment.

UNI-TANZ
INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY DANCE CAMPUS
Now in its fourteenth edition, Uni-Tanz is the international campus and festival organized by Koreoproject in Lecce and in Puglia. An intense week of advanced training with world-renowned masters — including artists from Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen and the most important European and American dance institutions.
Technique workshops, choreographic workshops, public performances and meeting moments between professional dancers, students and the public.

Theatre in Prison
Since 2017, Koreoproject has brought dance inside the Borgo S. Nicola prison in Lecce, creating live performances with inmates and guest artists. Since 2020 it has been part of the National Theatre in Prison Coordination network.
