Sara’s Dream is a choreographic creation by Giorgia Maddamma inspired by the world of childhood and dreams. Sara, a little girl, falls asleep and in her dream her dolls come to life: Scaramouche, Pulcinella, and Colombina dance together until dawn in a show within the show.

A fairy tale for all ages that reinterprets the masks of the Commedia dell’Arte through the languages of contemporary dance, Brazilian music, and new-age soundscapes.

The show, presented at the Teatro del Fuoco in Foggia in 2007 and then on tour in primary schools, stands out for its contemporary costumes that transform traditional masks into dreamlike, modern figures — surprising and poetic.
