Shocking takes its name from a double meaning: the shocking pink of flamingos and the shock suffered by all of humanity during the pandemic.

Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s Codex on the Flight of Birds, the show becomes a personal flight manual: how to spread your wings even in the absence of wind, how to find freedom even when the world stands still.

The pink flamingo becomes a guide and a metaphor: a creature that lives in its extreme, simple complexity, and that during the pandemic experienced the paradox of freedom — with the skies emptied of planes, it flew undisturbed over the cities of the world.

The show reflects on the relationship between humans and nature, between freedom and fear, between constraint and the desire to fly.
